01
Teak
The king of woods
Thanks to its natural oils, it needs no paint, impregnation or chemical treatment. Sea water, rain, sun: none of them wear teak down easily. That is why it has been chosen for shipbuilding for centuries.

With a Janka hardness of 1000-1155, it is more than durable enough for daily use; its real strength comes from its resistance to water and decay. It grows in tropical climates and does not grow in Turkey's climate.

02
Rattan
The thread of the forest
Rattan is not a tree but a climbing palm of the tropical rainforest. Its flexible vines, which can reach hundreds of metres, are not moulded but bent, woven and shaped by the artisan's hands.

There are more than 600 species, each with a different texture, colour and character. It is both flexible and strong, yet light as a feather.
Can only be shaped by hand
03
Bamboo
The world's fastest plant
Bamboo is not a tree but one of the fastest-growing grasses in the world. It belongs to the Poaceae (grass) family. Some species can grow 30 to 90 cm a day. Weight for weight it is stronger than steel and highly resistant to heavy pressure.

It is used both structurally and decoratively. Its clean lines and natural texture are the essence of Asian minimalism. It does not grow at tropical density in Turkey.
Stronger than steel by weight
04
Cast Brass
A lifetime metal
Brass is first cast in a mould, then reshaped, filed and polished by the artisan's hands. This second shaping step does not exist in industrial production; it is exactly what makes AYOMI pieces unique.

Every piece is a little different. This is not a flaw but intended originality, today's reflection of Asia's traditional casting heritage.
Every piece is finished by hand
05
Albizia, Suar & Mango
The heart of the tropical forest
Every piece carries a map of years of growth in its trunk. Albizia, suar and mango are valuable, fast-growing trees of the tropical climate; with their unique ring patterns and vivid tones, no two pieces are alike.

Hard enough for daily use, elegant in weight. Ideal for furniture with textured surfaces.
Every piece has a unique pattern
06
Seashell & Rayung
A gift of the ocean and the forest
Seashells are gathered by sustainable harvesting, and rayung grass is collected from tropical forests. Neither is available as a raw material in Turkey.

These materials, used in our decor pieces, are respectful of the environment and give every piece a tactile originality.

Why aren't they found in Turkey? All of these materials are products of the tropical climate. They need specific humidity, temperature and biodiversity conditions. They also require craft knowledge passed down through generations. AYOMI designs together with master workshops that hold this knowledge, and produces in the size and colour you want.

Legal felling & sustainability. In our wood pieces we use legal, traceable wood with felling certificates (SVLK). With an approach grounded in environmental science, we take care to give back what we take and not to destroy nature. That is why we are not stock-driven; we focus on producing to pre-order, personalised to your taste, when you need it and as much as you need, especially for hotel, marina, yacht and private architectural projects.
