AYOMI · ABOUT US
A life devoted to protecting nature. A brand that seeks to complete a space.
AYOMI is the product of a passion for wood that reaches back to the 1920s, and of a deep respect for nature and human craft.
HERITAGE
AYOMI's story goes back to the 1920s and to a love of wood passed down from grandfather to grandchild. In those years our family worked in the timber and furniture trade of the Marmara region. They felled carefully chosen trees from the forests of Uludağ, dried them patiently and worked them meticulously into timber. Processed in workshops in Bandırma and Bursa, this timber left the port to become high-quality furniture in Turkey and abroad. It was a tradition handed down through the generations, combining patience and craft.
AYOMI brings together this knowledge of wood, passed on over generations, with a training in architecture and 14 years of experience devoted to the natural sciences. We choose wood not only because it is beautiful, but knowing how each tree dries and which timber is truly durable.
Generations of knowledge of wood, now in pieces made for you.
ABOUT AYOMI
AYOMI is a boutique furniture and decor studio specialising in custom production, based in Akyaka, Muğla. We produce the pieces we design together with master workshops in the size, colour and quantity you want. We work with architects, especially on hotel, villa, restaurant and architectural projects.
We are not just a furniture maker; we are a brand that tries to bring the rhythm of nature and human craft to the fore. Every piece in our collection is 100% handmade and keeps nature's own characteristic textures. When you order a piece from us, you also learn which forest it came from and how it is part of an ecosystem.
We use only natural materials in our production, because we are aware of environmental health risks and do not want to fill your spaces with chemicals in furniture. The materials we use in our pieces are:
- Long-lasting teak, mango, suar and rare tropical timbers
- Natural bamboo and first-quality rattan
- Natural seashells and traditional dyeing methods
- Real cast brass

THE STORY BEHIND OUR SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
AYOMI's sustainability principle does not rest on documents alone. In our wood pieces we use legal, traceable wood with felling certificates (SVLK). But we also see it with our own eyes.
We strive to offer people not objects, but the culture, labour and story those objects represent.
"When you buy a piece from AYOMI, you do not just buy a product. You buy the goodwill and handprint of the people we work with; you support the artisans and families for whom we open a source of income; and you bring a part of nature into your space."
